Call-out for members and alternates to the Canadian Heritage NLMCC

Please be advised that we are looking for members and alternates to represent the Union of National Employees, PSAC on the Canadian Heritage National Labour Management Consultation Committee.

Participation on this committee normally includes about two (2) meeting(s) per year.  Most meetings are held in the National Capital Region, but some might occur via teleconference. The primary function of the members of this committee is to remain current on its activities.

 Interested applicants must:

·         be a member in good standing of the Union of National Employees and an employee of Canadian Heritage;
·         be interested in labour-management consultation and agree to be actively involved in the meetings. This includes participation in pre-and-post-meeting conference calls, evaluation of draft policies and procedures, and reporting to national representatives and other union partners;
·         have a good knowledge of union principles and a willingness to learn; and
·         complete the questionnaire.

The deadline for applications is October 15th, 2015.

All of the submissions will be turned over to the National President who will make a decision in accordance with UNE Policy CC 9. Applicants, locals and the employer will then be advised of the selection.
